Featherfist currently operates three (3) transitional housing programs
that assist in:

  • Eliminate the Crisis
  • Provide Secure and Private Housing Units
  • Provide Comprehensive Case Management Services

Foundations

The Foundations program provides supportive and housing services to 17 large families (usually with 3 or more children). This program seeks appropriate scattered-site housing for typically hard-to-place larger families and assists them in obtaining / maintaining employment and/or mainstream benefits that will enable their self-sufficiency. Services focus on issues that may threaten the fabric of the family, such as; domestic violence, poor parenting skills and other child welfare issues.

Fort

Featherfist, Outreach, Retention and Treatment (FORT) is a project-based program that offers a 24-bed facility for hard-to-place, chronically homeless individuals with PTSD. This safe and secure full-time facility encourages compliance with rules and service plans and helps to effectively transition the participant to permanent housing in 3-6 months.

Hope Village

Hope Village is a project-based, transitional/interim housing facility that houses 20 women in recovery with their children. These women are recovering from substance abuse, domestic violence and other health issues due to poor dietary habits. This facility is designed to maintain and nourish the parent-child bond. This bond is deemed critical for successful recovery. Case management and specialized counseling address the myriad issues surrounding health, education and welfare needs of the entire family.
