Featherfist's Aggressive Mobile Outreach (AMO) program provides 24-hour emergency outreach to those in immediate need of housing assistance. These individuals and families are reached on an emergency basis through our network of social service agencies and citizens who call in with information regarding sightings of the homeless.

The AMO program is staffed with professional case managers / outreach workers, utilizing vehicles to render crisis intervention for the homeless and those 'at risk' in any circumstance, at any location in the city. Based on initial assessment of the problem and need, an immediate referral with transportation is made to an appropriate source for housing, emergency shelter, medical or protective services.

More in-depth assessments are conducted to develop a comprehensive individual service plan (ISP) provided by Featherfist or other more appropriate service agency. The 'ISP' addresses the root causes of the participant’s homelessness and steps necessary to achieve independent living and self-sufficiency.
